Antiaphrodisiacs Foods That Kill The Sex Drive

For more than 5,000 years scholars, researchers and those that sought to enhance their libidos (or the libido’s of loved ones) studied the aphrodisiac qualities of certain herbs and foods. Over the course of time evidence emerged that some foods naturally enhance the sex drive having a measurable effect on the psychology, brain chemistry or physical stamina associated with sexuality and performance. The list of edible aphrodisiacs is fairly well-known. A few of them are chocolate, oysters, avocados and pomegranates. But less known are foods that stifle sexuality to the point of actually suppressing desire or the ability to perform with a partner. These foods are known as antiaphrodisiac or anaphrodisiac. So if a romantic evening with the significant other is on the menu soon, avoid these foods at all cost or loves’ delights could turn out to be a love lost disaster. Corn flakes This antiaphrodisiac surprises many people. yet corn flakes can dampen the sex drive very effectively. A little known fact is that corn flakes were created by a man who strongly preached sexual abstinence. He didn’t even believe that a man and wife should have too much sexual relations except to consummate their marriage and to procreate. Who was this sexual teetotaler? John Harvey Kellogg, a Seventh-Day Adventist, who founded the Kellogg cereal company. Before becoming the breakfast king he worked as a doctor at a sanatorium where his primary research revolved around the suppression of carnal stimulation. He found corn worked quite well and dried, flattened flakes concentrated the effect. The rest is history. So go ahead and eat your Wheaties, but avoid corn flakes at all cost. Graham crackers Not to be outdone by Kellogg, the Reverend Sylvester Graham created a very high fiber cracker for the same purpose: to stifle the libido. Graham’s research revealed that the ingredients created the tendency to produce gas and bloating in the intestinal tract. This physiological response tended to reduce a persons natural proclivity towards amorous feelings. Cramping and bloating do have a tendency to dampen ardor. If you intend to add more fiber to your diet add it slowly. Make sure you drink more water to avoid the effects that Graham hoped to achieve. Graham crackers, however, are not as effective as corn flakes. In that respect Graham missed the mark, but he got rich off the product anyway. Soy products Reams of research have been done that virtually proves that too much soy will lower the testosterone levels.
